RH is looking for a PRODUCT SAFETY & COMPLIANCE LEADER for Furniture - Bed, Bath & Case. The Product Safety & Compliance Leader will review product testing to ensure that our products are safe and legal. The perfect candidate will have direct relevant experience in a similar setting and an immediate connection to our Core Values (People, Service, Quality and Innovation). Primary Responsibilities

· Interact with Product Safety & Compliance team at home office in US, cross functional teams at home office, vendors and labs regarding product testing, labeling requirements & regulatory compliance issues

· Own all aspects of the RH relationship with 3rd party testing laboratories around the world

· Review all new Bed, Bath & Case furniture products to determine which should be tested, which should be grouped, what level of testing is needed and which requirements are relevant

· Receive and review product test reports and give direction on resolution of test failures

· Ensure that product test reports are processed through the ICIX (Salesforce) product test management platform

· Review and approve product testing invoices and submit for payment in a timely fashion

· Prepare and present product testing progress reports to the Product Safety & Compliance team and cross-functional partners

· Analyze testing data for trends and insights, present findings to cross-functional partners and implement changes based on analysis

· Run data analytics out of the merchandising database (QS- MicroStrategy)

· Become an expert on the regulatory and safety expectations for RH products for the North American, EU and UK markets

· Maintain an up to the minute grasp of regulatory developments affecting the products RH offers

· Lead all efforts to prepare the business to comply with new product regulations

· Such other tasks, projects and functions as may be necessary from time to time

Specific Competencies

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

· Ability to work in web-based, data-management, workflow and communication platforms like Salesforce is necessary

- Familiarity with product compliance and safety verification processes are necessary

Education / Training

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

At least 4-6 years of experience in one or more of the following professional settings, in order of preference

– Product compliance for a retail company, especially home furnishings

– Product compliance for a product design firm, supplier, manufacturer, or sourcing agency OR 3rd party test lab

– Supply-chain, sourcing, merchandising, product development, planning, or quality for a retail company

– Product design, manufacturing, or quality control in a factory, supplier or sourcing agency

– Consumer protection or regulatory enforcement for a government agency or non-governmental organization
