职位描述

JOB DESCRIPTION

-          Engineering activities:

o   Conduct the mold flow analysis using mold flow simulation software of injection molds for conventional molding and H&C molding, suggest optimal mold design and optimize the injection molding processing parameters;

o   Conduct the Heat & Cool simulation process using finite element simulations software’s and optimize in collaboration with tooling engineer the Heat & Cool layout and the process parameters;

o   Lead numerical studies to ensure the technical feasibility of customer requests;

o   Report all numerical studies;

o   Gather all needed technical information from customer at project start-up;

o   Support process engineers to achieve optimal results during process start-up;

o   Perform correlation simulations from trials inputs;

o   Support R&D internal projects.

 

-          Engineering project monitoring:

o   Monitor and control the progress of engineering studies during progress;

o   Be the main customer’s point of contact for engineering-related questions;

 

-          Others:

o   Training of Roctool colleagues, partners and customers on engineering-related topics;

o   Assist Roctool other entities (Business units, Business Developers, Program Managers, subsidiaries, …) in explaining the technical choices in engineering to customers and their toolmakers.

o   Travelling: 5-10% annually


Education and experience

-          Qualifications:

o   Minimum BS degree, MS degree or higher preferred.

o   Advanced technical background (2 years' experience minimum preferred);

-          Skills:

o   Strong knowledge about plastic materials, engineering theories, design principles and practices, and design evaluation techniques within the plastic injection molding industry;

o   Mastering one or more process molding simulation software: Autodesk Moldflow, Moldex3D, CADMould, Sigma 3D or others;

o   Rigorous, with good communication ability, proficient at summarizing and presenting simulation results to other team members and customers,

o   Able to develop and adapt simulation best practices to increase simulation accuracy/productivity;

o   Knowledge about multi physics software’s for thermal, and mechanical finite element simulations is a plus.

o   Any knowledge in coding using language type Matlab, Python or others is a plus.

o   Able to adapt to new simulation tools if required;

o   Able to use efficiently standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.);

o   Working English capabilities (Minimum being good at writing and reading, being fluent is a plus);

o   Team-worker but autonomous;

o   Ability to be self-motivated and manage several projects at one time;

o   Be customer oriented and respect projects confidentiality and timing;

o   Ability to work in an international, matrix organization.
