About Purchasing and Transportation

What you will be doing
1. Assist Umicore in realizing its sustainability ambitions to go for zero carbon emissions in 2035.
Collect and Report China’s market energy (incl. Renewable Electricity) news/trend/policy/regulation
Search and develop innovative sources for the procurement of low carbon energy sources.
Sourcing renewable electricity and conduct bidding/evaluation/negotiation and contracting accordingly.
Follow-up on energy related projects from concept to realization, with reporting to management.
Synergy Energy purchasing work with P&T Corporate and EHS team, and regular report
Help local BU site to achieve global strategy of Zero emission.
Build financial models and forecasts to evaluate strategic sourcing options and renewable energy investment opportunities.
2. Support P&T expanding strategy and facilitate category synergy global
3. Conduct Corporate Service purchasing as request
4. Flexible to support other Category purchasing sourcing activity in China/APAC region (Like as Lab, Chemicals, etc.)
5. Organize knowledge distribution within Umicore with respect to upcoming policies and legislation
Who we are looking for
Have a Bachelor / Master university degree in economics, energy or other
Fluent in English. (Dutch or French optional).
Substantial professional experience in Energy category procurement in WOFE (> 10 years)
At least 5-8 years management experience
Frequent Travel is necessary (20%-30% / month)
Short or Long term allocation is possible
