The Position:
You will be responsible for the sale of the range of Extended Access Technologies products with a focus on Biometrics in China. You will be the sales and business development interface in this important and growing region for HID Extended Access Technologies products and will be expected to fully understand customer and market requirements to drive business growth in
the assigned territory.
Duties and Responsibilities including the following
* Manage the sales and marketing and go-to-market activity for China
* Manage and be held accountable for the assigned sales quota
* Maintain the sales forecast and communicate with other departments internally to ensure
delivery aligns with customer expectations.
* Expand business with HID Global’s existing customer base and prospective partners.
* Identify sales opportunities in new and existing markets and increase market share in established markets.
* Provide support to assigned accounts and strategic alliances by providing sales training, demonstration of equipment and participation in joint events.
* Maintain timely and accurate information on customer accounts into company databases and systems.
* Fully understand customer requirements and effectively communicate these needs to Product Marketing, Product Management and Sales management to ensure alignment with product and
technology roadmap.
* Coordinate related activity for trade shows, webinars and other marketing events.
* Attend industry related trade shows, conferences and events to gain local industry knowledge and expand contacts.
* Provide timely submission of monthly reports, expense reports and other related action items as required by senior management.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience
* 8+ years sales or technical sales experience in the field of Biometrics, ideally in the commercial sector
* Minimum BS Engineering or Computer Science or BA Degree
* MBA - Marketing or Business preferred.
* Knowledge of semiconductor, access control in commercial industry
* Familiar with vertical markets and eco-system- eg. Finance, Government
* Knowledge RFID credential/embedded technologies is a plus
* Good record of sales expansion and customer management. Capable of identifying new
opportunities, and establishing credibility with customers and internal departments.
* Must have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to lead presentations both internally and externally.
* Strong out of the box thinking combined with a hands-on attitude, the ability to manage multiple projects successfully and prioritize well.
* Must possess excellent planning, prioritization, and organizational skills with the ability to
adhere to deadlines.
* Must be able to work effectively as a part of a team.
* Previous multinational or multi-regional experience
Language Skills
* Ability to effectively communicate in English language verbally and in writing.
* Ability to read and anticipate important business or market trends / drivers from journals, tradeshows, business publications, etc.
Computer Skills
* Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
* Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
* Familiar CRM tools and analysis such as Salesforce
Work Requirements
* Ability and commitment to travel on regular basis approx. 50 to 60%. Travel and fieldwork including international travel, therefore employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
