Responsibilities

Main subjects

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned projects. Quality-related
• Interact daily with colleagues / customer to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
• Devise and review specifications for products or processes
• Oversee product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
• Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures

In Practice

• QA for different textile category projects – functional / non functional items (e.g. jackets / vests / pants / shorts, etc.)
• Working independently to travel in sample rooms / factories
• Offer sample (SMS) on-site development / checking / corrections
• Photo sample and Quality samples on-site checking to ensure the sample can be get pass in time / properly
• Pattern developing/ improvement support, between the Chinese producers and the customer's office in Hong Kong/ DeltaSport HH
• Fit checking and control of the sampling for quality and processing technology
• Accompaniment of the technical development from sampling to production readiness
• Handling of all technical and production related questions of the producer
• Processing of all technical queries of the QM team customer office HK/ DeltaSport HH
• Evaluation of pre-production samples (quality samples) including washing tests and material and ingredient testing
• Report writing including analysis, suggestions and implementation of improvements
• Leadership and training of the local QM team
• Working area: Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shandong, Anhui, Hebei, other province depending on production / sourcing location
• Close cooperation and if necessary travel to production sites in China
• Occasional travelling to inspection / production locations outside of PRC upon request

General

• Working in a team environment (Shanghai and Hamburg)
• Reporting to division leader SHA or General Manager
• Informing vendors about QC findings and do improvement follow-up during offer sample /size set sample / quality samples
• Conducting reports in English language within 2 days using the appropriate company templates, terms and vocabulary
• Attending weekly meetings if requested
• Following general company policies, written in Company handbook and other special policies
• Learning all necessary standards required for the corresponding product category and market in order to perform inspections properly
• Making use of oral language skills and improving them upon request in order to have work related conversation
• Usage of company provided tools, equipment and software
• Partly-independent travel planning and documentation if requested
• Single inspections as well as follow-up with longer factory stay up to about 2 weeks depending on order status
