职位描述
The web content specialist for the UL China website will be seated in China and will serve as subject matter expert for web content for the UL China website. All content on the UL China website will be in Simplified Chinese, so the candidate must be fluent in written and spoken Chinese as well as in English.
1. Collaborates with digital content curators in the development and optimization of web content.
2. Updates website content.
3. Designs, structures and publishes useful and usable content that drives a positive customer experience and competitive web presence.
4. Manages content through all phases of web delivery, including facilitation of translations and search engine optimization activities, page design requirements, page walkthroughs, QA reviews, page performance reviews, content updates and content archive requests.
5. Reviews copy, performs quality assurance checks, and makes adjustments as needed to ensure published content meets quality and performance criteria.
6. Takes initiative to investigate, diagnose, and troubleshoot web content issues. Selects and explains or documents the best solutions.
7. Adheres to editorial calendars in support of campaign and content delivery deadlines.
8. Uses standard monitoring tools such as Baidu Analytics, to evaluate visitor and user behaviors and competitive insights to inform China web site strategy.
9. Develops and maintains an understanding of content strategy, accessibility, SEO and related web disciplines.
10. Supports paid search and digital advertising on Baidu if necessary.
11. In collaboration with the Web Product Manager and other stakeholders, provides input to define customer and stakeholder requirements for the China website.
12. Understands business and brand strategic priorities and channel goals to contribute to developing a clear and actionable web product strategy for the China website.
13. Provides input for vendor budget management as necessary.
14. Pro-actively builds and maintains strong relationships with business and corporate marketing partners.
15. Assists web product manager to define, estimate and coordinate tasks and schedules for maintenance and enhancement of the China marketing websites. With the support of the Web Product Manager and other stakeholders, defines customer and stakeholder requirements, business and brand strategic priorities and channel goals to develop a clear and actionable web product strategy for the China website.
16. Drives execution of project schedules and manages internal and external reviews and approvals.
17. If needed, guides internal and external resources contributing to web content development and maintenance.
18. Communicates project status at an appropriate level of detail for the intended audience – project team, management team and executive stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum two years of related experience or demonstrated competency.
2. Customer-centric orientation, quality driven and dedicated to continuous improvement
3. Strong content development process and tools knowledge to help guide content design and presentation for the web, specific to the Chinese language.
4. Background in business to business marketing websites.
5. Strong understanding of web technology, especially content management systems used as multilingual web site platforms.
6. Experience with integrated systems such as WeChat.
7. Experience using data analytics to inform strategic decisions.
8. Experience with developing text and image content for websites.
9. Fluent English and Chinese are essential. Additional languages beneficial (e.g. German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean)
10. Effective written and spoken communication skills
11. Strong interpersonal skills – effective team member across disciplines
12. Highly proficient in updating Drupal content management system to build web pages.
13. Balanced creative and critical thinking skills.
