Responsibilities:

1.     Trade compliance documents/terms (Cn&En) review and negotiation.

2.     Oversee day-to-day operations, including GTS maintenance and draft internal export compliance operation SOPs based on daily practice.

3.     Review and investigate system hold transactions, and escalate trade compliance issues and risks through escalation process.

4.     Conduct trade compliance audits, identify improvement opportunities & follow up through the corrective actions.

5.     Schedule and delivery trade compliance training to internal stakeholders.

6.     Track trade compliance regulations & updates, analyze possible impacts.

7.     Be the “first line, go-to” person for trade compliance related inquires.

 

Position Requirements:

1.     Master’s Degree of Law Required. (Preferred: Bachelor Degree of English).

2.     More than 3 years’ experience of contract review and negotiation (commercial lawyer experience, not limited to export control projects).

3.     Demonstrated understanding of U.S. and Chinese export control laws, regulations and rules.

4.     Strong individual contributor, able to conduct legal research, read and interpret government regulations.

5.     Able to manage small projects and create ideas for continuous improvements possibilities and execute local initiatives from beginning to end.

6.     Experience of conducting independent export compliance audit and training.

7.     Experience of process re-engineering and optimization.

8.     Strong Communication and Team Work Skills.

9.     Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.

10.   Initiative to undertake additional responsibilities.
