职位描述

Key objectives:

  • Maximize media exposure via building strong relationships to key media and execute PR activities and events
  • Ensure a crises management set-up able to deal with potential issues 24/7
  • Meet Awareness and Visit Intension targets for Grand Opening
  • Grow number of followers on social media and ongoing strengthen engagement level to secure maximum reach

Scope and Responsibilities:

Performs the following functions personally, through assigned staff, or contractual arrangements with external agencies or vendors:

1.    Formulates, plans, develops and implements a multi-level publicity and public relations campaign on a local, regional, national and international level.  Aligns Strategies, programs and activities to support all marketing and business objectives through effective program development, coordination, and utilization of internal and external resources.  Develops and oversees budgets, programs and timelines.

2.    Maintains ongoing relationships with the media and oversees the media relations program including print, television, radio and other mediums.  Works closely with the Head of Marketing and Head of Trade to ensure close alignment on all Sales & Marketing activities and communications.  Prepares news releases and feature articles.  Arranges interviews between company executives and press, radio and television representatives. Develops Park spokespersons through integrated media training.

3.    Develops and maintains relationships and linkages with the media, community groups, trade, and government entities to position and promote LEGOLAND.

4.    Serves as a spokesperson for the park – hence be knowledge about everything going on in the resort. As a member of the crisis management team, is the key point of contact with the media, community groups, and guest or family members in the event of an accident, violence or other mishap within the park.  Educates personnel in security, safety, and members of management in communication protocols (including media training) in the event of a crisis to ensure proper response and notification to affected guests, employees, and family members, control negative publicity, and minimize exposure.  

5.    Build platform and relationships to Influencers to extend reach

6.    Manage PR agency and ensure agency delivers in accordance to contract and agreed plans

7.    Measure, report, and analyze key performance indicators across all media platforms to identify trends and anomalies.

8.    Establish reporting processes for weekly and monthly recaps for all divisions to inform on activities and coverage.

9.    Develops the organizational structure, roles and responsibilities for the Public Relations group.  Provides program oversight, coordination and management of employees in the Public Relations group.  Is responsible for hiring, training, development, performance management, team building, and other people management activities.  

10.  In cooperation with Digital Manager be responsible for social media covering strategy and execution of plans. Establish and maintain the voice for all social media initiatives and maintain an active an engaging brand presence; create and post multimedia content, and facilitate dialogue across multiple social media platforms. Work closely with Guest Excellence team and Operations (Guest Services) on communication to consumers via mail, social media or direct guest contact.

Background and Experience:

Requires at least five years of progressive experience in the public relations field with a theme park, hospitality, or closely related industry.  Advantages if additional years of experience in a public relations/advertising agency or media network. 

Requires a track record of success in developing and implementing multi-level media publicity campaigns, with demonstrated ability to utilize the local, regional, national and international media to accomplish key public relations and promotional objectives.

Three years of management experience with personnel leadership and program oversight responsibility is preferred.

Requires strong media contacts (local, regional, national and international) with an in-depth understanding of pitching and utilizing different mediums. 

Requires demonstrated experience and strategic skills in public relations, event promotions, and community relations (schools, government, and trade).

Experience as a spokesperson and as a point of contact in high profile issues and crises is required. 

Ability to set and manage priorities to assigned objectives and schedules. Effectively coordinate and manage internal and external resources. 

Requires professional writing skills, demonstrated skill in making speeches and presentations, and outstanding organizational, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 

Strong leadership, people management, team building, and project management skills required. 

Computer proficiency with ability to use Microsoft Office Products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel), desktop publishing and social media software including tracking tools 

Education:

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication arts, advertising, business, marketing, or closely related field (or equivalent education and experience) is required.  A master’s degree in communication arts, marketing or closely related field is preferred.
