POSITION DESCRIPTION:
PM will be part of the Medtronic CSOT Group’s Upstream Marketing team and based in Shanghai office. This person will be responsible for identifying China and global emerging markets customer needs and for working with the downstream marketing, sales and R&D teams to develop business cases and tailored solutions to meet the unique needs in local Spine a & the global “sub-premium/value segments” of orthopedics industry. This position supports KH Spine and MDT Local dual brand strategy.
- Participate in review and assessment of opportunities in the global value orthopedics space. Identify new market opportunities and create relevant project proposals.
Lead the development of business cases to provide market leading procedure solutions to treat orthopedics Spine pathologies including voice of the customer (VOC) while partnering with the R&D and global commercial teams.
Complete needed market research and competitive analysis for business case and product requirements as well as manage on-going customer input throughout our product development process.
Develop the required financial models for new products, new initiatives, and potential acquisitions.
Lead new product launch implementation in local and international market based on standard new product launch process. Working together with BU/Regional marketing to achieve new product commercial success.
Lead product lifecycle management and portfolio planning.
Aligns resource to deal with hot customer complaints and manages customer temperature by working with frontline team.
Proposes contents to response to each customer feedback, gains consensus internally and externally. Adjusts the case status on dashboard.
Analyzes all case data, comes out remediation inputs for Strat plan on both existing and NPI products.
BS/BA degree in Engineering, Medical or Marketing.
8+ years’ experience in product development or product Marketing in the medical device industry (preferably orthopedic Spine).
Proven success in product development and management
Exceptional quantitative, analytical, written and verbal skills.
Fluent in English and Chinese
