Responsibilities and Tasks

Some of the key responsibilities and tasks are;

• Electromagnetic design of electric machines based on Soft Magnetic Composites (SMC) for the Automotive and Industrial segments

• Assist in the work of safe-guarding the quality of end-user motor specifications

• Use in-house tools, equipment and work methods as well as the FE simulation package JMAG for electromagnetic design of electric machines

• Perform, write and present initial electromagnetic feasibility studies based on high-value electric machine concepts using SMC

• Participate in, or support cooperation projects with end-users and customers

• Technical support for EMA Business & Application development within APAC

• Develop SMC application education and training packages with main focus on electric machines for both internal and external participants

• Support the development of marketing material

Skills and experience (or requirements)

• MScEE degree with focus on electric drive systems and electric machine design using FEA

• Fluent English, both written and spoken

• Strong communication and presentation skills – both orally and written

  • Knowledge from electromagnetic 3D FE packages (e.g. JMAG)

  • Knowledge from 3D CAD programs (e.g. SolidWorks)

  • Knowledge from electric drive systems regarding the interaction between electric motor, controller, control algorithms, power supply, etc

  • Experience from electric machine prototyping, testing and/or production is an extra merit
