Project Leader Global Logistics – Transport

Mission:

We are looking for a project leader to support our customer centres and divisions in their achievements of transport service improvements and cost reduction targets. You will implement transport agreements and improve processes at APAC customer centres by analysis of the market of logistics capacities, prices and efficiency. Further support of the logistics departments of APAC customer centres through the establishment of methods to local transport.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Audit transport agreements with local customer centers

- Support transport process development and alignment in the customer center.

- Full operational responsibility for the door to door transport process, including optimization of customs clearance process

- Audit transport companies

- Market research on all possible modes of transport

- Making analyses and studies for local transport & shipping in consultation with the customer centres

- Give support to customer centres during their tender process

- Support local track and trace solution to support and implementation of "OTIF at customer"

- Setting up accurate performance reporting

- Assist with installing review meetings with transport providers for improved service levels

- Focus on alternative and environmental friendly shipping methods

- Payment term extension

Measurement Knowledge

- A minimum experience of 3 years in a similar role is a requirement.

- Spacious logistic interest combined with a healthy understanding of the business.

- Good analytical insight and a "common sense" to this in everyday practice.

- A sound knowledge of Chinese and English is required. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

- Experience with TMS systems and tender tools is a plus.

Educational requirements

- The candidate should have a bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or equal by experience.

- Tertiary qualifications in logistics or transport related disciplines are an asset.
