Position Summary
Responsible for building business with key OEM target customers to win adoptions and commercialization of Cabot solutions in their energy storage devices. Work closely with product development teams and be the key interface with OEM target account. Ensure broad communication and alignment of customer account plans and manage all key communication and interactions with target OEM
Job Requirements (Principal Responsibilities)
· Build strong working relationships with key target OEM accounts. Identify decision makers and ensure Cabot team is strongly aligned with customer needs and timeframe to solve problems
· Be the voice of the customer and a strong advocate for their needs internally within the Cabot organization. Play as the key connection point for Cabot to the OEM account.
· Be responsible for initial sales of target key accounts, including price and contract negotiations, new supplier setup in customer’s supplier management system, etc.
· Work seamlessly with Cabot product development teams and customer development teams to meet targets for product adoption
· Build a customer map of all important functions and relationships that will help position Cabot’s offering over the competition
· Collect and generate information on market and industry trends for energy storage in IT, automotive and grid storage based on interactions with target OEM accounts.
· Collect customer insights on emerging trends that impact materials needs for energy storage.
· Provide strategic input for managing price and positioning strategy for Cabot’s offering at the OEM account.
· Provide detailed reporting and information for internal review of project efforts
· Interface broadly within the Energy Materials’ team and Regional team to stay coordinated and focused on winning the adoption
· Work with business and corporate resources to identify and execute on inorganic opportunities
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors)
· Ability to proactively build connections broadly across target OEM organization
· Strong team player with positive attitude
· Well organized in keeping notes, writing call reports and driving key customer account plans, etc.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills/ Strong Presentation skills/ Good command of English in both verbal and written.
· Willingness to travel
Education/Experience
· Bachelor/University degree in chemical engineering, materials science or related;
· Relevant experience in energy storage industry and a familiarity with the space is strongly preferred.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and technical service.
