Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. EHS

1)According to corporate, company and statutory EHS requirements, implement the policies and procedures by seeking consultation from internal and external EHS experts, including enforcement in the observation of all company’s operations, safety, ecology and housekeeping guidelines to maintain a working environment that supports work safety and production activities;

2) Production permitting;

3) Cooperate with EHS manager to ensure the EHS compliance;

2. Production arrangement

1) Including commissioning, trial run, ramp-up and regular production;

2) Supervise the production requirements (detailed planning of production based on S&O-planning, compliance with cycle-times per work-step….);

3) Interface with warehouse staff to ensure the material flow for production;

4)Interface with maintenance staff to maintenance and repairing schedules, actions, including modification of machines and equipment in order to improve production and quality of products;

5)Organize updating of Production related procedures, documents and guidelines (e.g. EHS, Operational and Analytical Manual, PID, Process parameters list, Logic diagrams);

6)Documentation, oversee the administration (compilation, maintenance, updating, retrieval and distribution) of production data to ensure an updated database in an easily assessable (integrated computerized) system. Provide updated records/ data to relevant parties, e.g. logistics and production control, to support a smooth cooperation and effective communication among all relevant departments;

3. Process control

1) Ensure all process operations are carried out in a safe manner and meet all regulatory and industry standards;

2) Manage process equipment designing, modification and installation;

3) Process development and optimization, troubleshooting on process and process equipment;

4. Quality Control

1) Review and analyze product quality data together with quality manager;

2) Root cause analysis. Assist in customer and supplier audits; Supervise personnel's adherence to QM procedures;

5. Production Excellence

1) Support and initiate production excellence activities (Lean, root cause analysis, …);

2)Efficiency improvement, to ensure sufficient supply of raw materials and to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment;

3)Review and analyze production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specification, and operating or production problems;

4) Review and analyze production rate and yield. Analyze production data concerning cost efficiency;

6. People management

1)Be responsible for the general management of production manpower, e.g. staffing, performance appraisal, motivation, training;

2)Conducts hearings to resolve or effect settlement of grievances and consult Human Resources function as appropriate.

Education/Experience/ Qualifications:

1. Bachelor degree in Chemical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering;

2. Proven manufacturing management experience in Specialty Chemical industry at least 5~10 years;

3.Customer (Internal & External) oriented, detail oriented, mature with positive attitude, reliable, accountable, and well organized;

4. Organize and prioritize work in a timely manner and react well under pressure;

5. Oral and written communication skills in Chinese and English;

6. Candidate can work in Fengxian (Shanghai Chemical Industry Park).
