1. Responsible for the OT Budgetary process and ensuring those systems and services are properly funded year after year while continually working to drive overall cost efficiency.
2. Strategic Direction:1) Lead the review, development and implementation of an OT Strategy leveraging intelligent transport, IoT and contemporary OT technologies to achieve company goals and industry leadership. 2)Documented OT Strategy and Roadmap that supports business continuity goals and delivers innovative and robust solutions. 
3. Implementation of the Digital Manufacturing Strategies and Roadmap for the OT Environment in the Factory Environment.
4. Responsible for the OT Automation and Controls Specifications on the Site and work with the Zone Engineering Teams to review projects for compliance to these specifications. 
5. Execute Strategies for Monitoring/Administration/Security of OT Infrastructure assets including Servers, Workstations, Switches, PLC’s, HMI’s, and other Machine Control Edge Devices. 
6. Deploy Hardware and Software Lifecycle strategies to all OT infrastructure assets and work with the Factory to rationalize this strategy through timely capital execution. 
7. Work seamlessly with the mix of Information Technology (IT), Safety, Quality, Environmental and Manufacturing teams to ensure synergy and alignment with systems and company performance metrics. 
8. Maintain Critical OT maintenance routines such as OT Asset Backup, Disaster Recovery, OS/Antivirus Patch Management , Software Version Control and Network Security including firewall rule standardization.
9. Support the hiring and selection process – when needed – of advanced controls and automation engineers to design, validate, and commission a fully automated controls architecture with mechanical automation equipment, robots, design of electromechanical systems, PLCs, motion controls, and 3D vision.
10. Data management and tracking communications network architecture and interface with cross-functional teams for product, processes and quality traceability control implementation.
11. Program and debug PLC with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable. PLC code will interact with several subsystems such as conveyors, robots, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), LabView, machine vision, and 3rd party equipment.
12. Establish control test plan execution at supplier and/or equipment vendors during installation and buy-off.
13. Debug and optimization to maximize cycle time, improve availability and yield.
14. Train maintenance and production teams to support automated equipment after deployment into production

Hard/Soft Skills

1. Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Technology, Electrical or Chemical Engineering, , Computer Science, or Management Information Systems.
2. 5+ Years of manufacturing experience including 5+ years in the OT environment.
3. Able to work well both independently as well as with cross-functional teams from many levels of the organization and with strategic vendors from outside the organization.
4. Able to translate information to both the technical and functional communities.
5. Able to manage a budget and deliver goals against the budget while working to provide year-after-year efficiencies while working to establish the OT standards across the International Manufacturing sites.
6. Solid understanding of computer programming and software development.
7. Advanced level abilities in programming high-volume industrial equipment:1) PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Beckhoff, etc.),2) Safety PLCs and HMI programming,3) Field bus Networks (AB DeviceNet, Ethernet IP, Safety rated field bus networks) and Serial communication (RS-232), including Ethernet communications between machine PLCs and databases,4) Solid experience designing and maintaining PLC code structure. Program state machines for complex processes which involve multi-station parallel processing, pick and place automation, data acquisition, and PID control. Proven ability to design fault-tolerant systems with error handling and recovery.
8. Selection of appropriate circuit protectors, wire and cable, sensors, safety hardware, PLC hardware, remote I/O, VFD and servo systems.
9. Design electrical and schematics in CAD (AutoCAD Electrical, ePlan, etc.). Solid-works, CATIA as a plus.
10. Experience with various production machinery, cameras, sensors, and other equipment Experience programming robots are desired (Fanuc, Kuka, Motoman, Epson).
11. Experience with machine vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Fanuc, Nagase a plus) are desired
12. Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests.
13. Detail-oriented personality.
14. Prefer candidates with hands on experience in automotive /electronic field manufacturing.
15. Advanced level in English speaking and writing.
