Main Responsibility

• Work closely with US and China team to manage the packaging development process and ensure that the new product package validation is successfully completed.
• Transfer package design/concept from Product team to vendor on time.
• Work with vendor to make sure packaging materials meet GC standard and handling the packaging validation tests and clearly report to project team.
• Create and maintain GC packaging guideline/instructions.
• Support US head office team on the packaging artwork creation, proof review and transfer the correct artwork to vendor.
• Co-work cross functionally to support the on-time delivery and sustainability of all packaging shipments and production.
• Analyze all failed packaging tests, find the root cause of the failure and provide solutions. - Lead and resolve all packaging engineering issue before mass production.
• Manage package cost and cost reduction of all items, including optimize container loading map.
• Clearly and regularly report to Quality manager the packaging, tooling, sampling, schedule, cost and development status.

                                        

Main Requirements

    

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Engineering field.
• At least 3 years packaging development management experience, familiar with the materials used for the packaging. With hard goods package experience is preferred.
• Skillful communication, negotiation and coordination and project risk management.
• Well known Pantone color and is possible to work independently on color discrimination.
• Proven experience of troubleshooting for packaging issue.
• Experience on package material price will be a plus.
• Detail oriented, responsible, proactive attitude, teamwork and organized.
• 30% traveling is required.
• Excellent written English, skillful oral English is preferred.
• Familiar with ISTA/ASTM packaging test standard. With Amazon package experience is preferred.
