How do manufacturers ensure time-sensitive cargo such as perishables and medical supplies reach their destinations on schedule? In this role, you will support capacity and pricing procurement for regular as well as adhoc business and trade lanes, by ensuring Carrier Management is a priority and key factor in gaining and retaining customers, always in alignment with policy.

Your tasks and responsibilities

You will need to liaise with internal and external stakeholders while aligning the interests of each with our key objectives.

• Lay out a procurement plan for assigned area of responsibility in alignment with larger initiatives.
• Evaluate current carrier share for key trade lanes, recommending optimization measures to maximize core carrier share.
• Evaluate opportunities to consolidate current volumes to achieve better yields and help optimize ANR, laying the foundation for future business development opportunities.
• Work with the procurement team in the promotion of consol / build up pallet deals, helping to create efficiencies in our long-term procurement efforts.
• To evaluate carrier metrics + ensure volume allocations are in line with targets to support *** program success.
• To monitor + push for maximization of volumes via our Gateways, to achieve better consol benefits as well as supporting cost management.

Your skills and experience

To be considered, you need to demonstrate a customer focus mindset in everything you do on a daily basis. You must have strong negotiation skills and knowledge of the market, your   customer and stakeholder relationships will be the key to your success.
