Junior Merchandiser

We are a Shanghai based trading company with European management. We have a long (over 30 years) professional know how of sourcing, buying and producing in the Far East. We are looking for a junior merchandiser who can support our merchandiser team.

Key Responsibilities

？  Keep daily administration accurate in MIS and in your files

？  Check critical path and keep customer/supplier informed about steps to follow to ensure on time delivery

？  Push suppliers/customers for approvals of send lab dips/fabric's/samples actively

？  To guide business partners on sourcing trips when required

？  Conduct sample evaluation in terms of fitting, measurement, construction / making method, workmanship & functional performance.

？  Provide technical support to clients, factories and colleagues, in order to achieve high standard products.

？  Check if the quality of the material, trims, and accessories etc. used are correct and according the customer/European standards.

？  Ensure samples submitted by vendors/manufactures are conform to specifications, fit and construction before send for customer's approval

？  Negotiation about price/delivery date/quality

？  Join and prepare buying meeting

？  Arrange QC bookings and prepare QC packages for inspections

？  Foresee the problems during order follow up(before production), solve problem with factories or customers independently or help team leader to solve

？  Arrange supply chain with factories and customers

？  Good team work spirit

？  Other related things request from the leader

 

Key Requirements:

？  University Graduated with passed certificate in English Language grade 6 or above.

？  Independent and eager worker

？  Willing to learn and to take ownerships for the task needed

？  Someone with good social skills

？  Solution oriented to support customers

？  Frequently traveling within China provinces is required.

？  Able to communicate efficiency both written and verbal English.

We are part of the Erve group, a company started in Belgium 30 years ago, who has over 50 license and sells garments to the major retailer in the market. Beconnected has 4 offices in India, Bangladesh, China and Ethiopia. We are a trading and sourcing office. We also have our company Beconnected Industrial, a label and print factory in Ethiopia. We offer professional know how of sourcing, buying and producing in the Far East & Africa. The Shanghai office is handling the sales for Europe and production in Asia and will look where orders can be produced the best.
In Shanghai we are located since 2008 and we have a team of 30 people.
