Job description:

Strategic tasks (10%):

1. Assist the Global Supply Chain to work out the sourcing strategies to achieve the ultimate goals of Exxel Outdoors

2. Maintain supplier strategy to include primary and backup factories.

3. Partner with cross-functional team leaders to assure the production meets the target cost structure, testing parameters, timely delivery, and product requirements of the Exxel brands.

Development (35%):

4. Be pro-active with sample processes to assure on time approvals and on time deliveries.

5. Develop new and current products with full source factories within the go-to-market calendar and guidelines provided by the U.S. team.

6. Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues during the development stage.

7. Responsible for working with the factories on development, obtaining initial costing from factories to meet target cost and offering alternative solutions to Merchant/Design team that will meet the price target for the product while keeping the aesthetics of the product.

8. Responsible for staying on top of the Asia market for raw material innovation

Sourcing (15%):

9. Participate in supplier sourcing and price negotiations with suppliers.

10. Manage supplier relationships and ensure they are professional, transparent, and committed to Exxel's brands. Maintain jointly successful business relationships.

11. Have input into the sourcing strategy and drive the implementation within the supply base ensuring factory capabilities meet the future needs of our brands.

12. Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products based on what is found in factories.

Production (35%):

13. Responsible for on time delivery and quality of production.

14. Assist compliance team to ensure suppliers adhere to or exceed Exxel compliance standards and requirements.

15. Execute PPR meeting with supplier, manage weekly WIP reviews and tracking of bulk production progress with the merchandising team resulting in proactive decision making.

16. Partner with QIT team to resolve and correct quality issues in a successful and timely manner.

17. Maintain production capacity planning information to assure success with factory loading.

18. Conduct visits to factories. Attend in-line and final inspection at factory as needed.

Others (5%):

19. Gain working knowledge of Exxel systems.

20. Accompany the U.S. team to suppliers when needed.

21. Assist the U.S. team for package modifications when needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong written and verbal communication skills In English and local language.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong PC skills to include MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Proactive, passionate, energetic and fast paced.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be a team player
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
• Maintain good relationship with colleagues and coordinate with cross functional departments

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in development and sourcing with International companies.
• Good written and verbal English
• College or University graduate preferred
• Studies in Textiles/Engineering/ Financial Management, Tech Design/Logistics will be an advantage
• PC proficiency in MS Office
