Client's business problem to solve?

· Provides in-depth diagnosis for failures associated with the software and hardware of operating systems and subsequently develops solutions

· Provide technical expertise, guidance and strategic recommendations to Linux Servers

  Detect security issues, create customer tickets and manage problems until  closure

· 24x7 3 Shift Rotation

Responsibilities

    

- Work as Subject Matter Expert in design, architecture and deployment for the Linux environment

- Management of Linux servers

- Conducts system analysis, configuration management and develops improvements for issues related to operating system performance, availability and reliability

- Provide outstanding customer service to all of NTT DATA Services customers

- Performs incident resolution, problem determination and root cause analysis in accordance with service level agreements

- Problem determination and root cause analysis in accordance with Service Level Agreements

- Designs, develops, recommends and implements new or revised system software, utilities and automated processes as necessary

- Evaluate emerging technologies to ensure technical solutions are compatible with the Company's business needs and strategic objectives.

- Perform system maintenance and maintain current documentation

- Any other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility of this post and as advised by Management

       

Key Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of Linux (SuSE, Red Hat etc.)

- Experience in deployment & support of Unix based Virtualization & QEMU ( KVM/XEN )

- Displays good to very good verbal and written language skills in English are a must have

- Experience working with international multilingual teams

- Demonstrates the NTT DATA Services Values of Clients First, Foresight and Teamwork in everything they do

- Advance knowledge of Systems Hardware.

- Advance knowledge of Enterprise Level Systems infrastructure.

- Knowledge of Datacenter Operations, network technologies and industry standards and audit requirements.

- Nice to have: Knowledge in Openstack, Ansible, Rudder, Pearl

- Nice to have: Knowledge in Oracle Databases

        

Qualifications:

- Linux certifications desired (SCA)

    

Work Experience:

- Minimum 5 + years’ experience as System Engineer in Linux Server operations and implementations

Remote support is acceptable for the role
