Position: Business Development Director

Location: Shanghai

iPayLinks is looking for a highly-talented Business Development Director to be one of the pioneering members of our APAC team. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, closing, and managing APAC partnerships. We are looking for a thoughtful, inquisitive, tenacious individual to execute business development initiatives targeting marketplace partners who operate in the APAC region.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the APAC payments/digital commerce landscape and trends, proven track record at identifying opportunities, building relationships and deal/partnership execution, along with a team-first mentality with the ability to move effortlessly between technical and business audiences.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Partner with the Product Management, operation and Marketing teams to define and communicate our unique value proposition to the Asia-Pacific market, focus on marketplace and platform.

2. Source, structure, negotiate, close, and manage partnerships to drive meaningful transaction volume.

3. Develop post-launch and account management plans for successful implementation.

4. Present technical requirements to our partners and provide feedback to the product organization.

Qualifications

1. 5-8 years business development, sales, or partnership experience with tangible results

2. Strong analytical skills to understand and assess opportunities and partnerships with an ability to communicate both commercial and strategic benefits to partners

3. Entrepreneurial, with a bias towards action and a collaborative disposition

4. Great at execution: results driven, detail-oriented, organized, and motivated, with ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.

5. Creative and critical thinker, with strong business acumen and negotiating abilities

6. Excellent with written and verbal communication

7. Experience working globally across cultures and in different cultural environments to close international business

8. Fluency in Mandarin and English in addition to other languages

The Following Would Be Considered a Plus For Candidates

1. Experience in the Payments or Online business industry

2. Experience in multi-national working environment (collaborating with remote teams)

3. Experience with data analytics & BI tools
