1.   Calculation of joining (welding, riveting and fastening) equipment during the complete project phase from acquisition to EOP of projects;

2.   Simultaneous engineering with the design and development of the business divisions seat, door systems and drive in order to design a production feasible product, a stable and reliable joining process and a cost efficient production concept;

3.   Development of most competitive joining manufacturing concepts concerning process times, operator times (MTM), layout (AutoCAD), investment, ergonomics and production cost with close cooperation to teams from EU and NAFTA. Insure the quality requirements by using methods like P-FMEA, Poka-Yoke, capability study, T-audit and APQP;

4.   Prepare and present presentations to the management in Asia, NAFTA and EU;

5.   Prepare detailed specification and benchmark supplier quotations in cooperation with different interfacing departments. Responsibility for the procurement of manufacturing equipment concerning design, delivery and installation in terms of production, maintenance, quality and timeline;

6.   Install and launch the equipment in the Asian plants. Handover the equipment and documentation to the plant after completion of the project requirements;

7.  Reviews, optimizations and CIP of equipment, layout, cycle time, quality and logistics using methods like e.g. value stream design during the project and the serial production phases;

8.  Provide and benchmark innovations and technical ameliorations of technologies and processes in collaboration with specialists from Asia, NAFTA and EU;

9.  Creating and updating of Brose standards (documents, trainings and norms) in close cooperation with other regions；

10. Holding and providing trainings and workshops about joining technologies topics. Creating and developing regional and international network for sharing lessons learned, experiences and issues.

Job Requirements:

1.  Technical drawing reading and evaluating (tolerance calculation, special characteristics);

2.  Equipment planning (cycle time calculation, production cost calculation, MTM analysis, AutoCAD layout creation, IQ-RM 6.5 FMEA creation, workplace ergonomic check);

3.  Procurement and project management experience (specification creation, supplier benchmark, design discussion, delivery release, commissioning and plant handover);

4.  Production experience for welding, fastening and/or riveting (quality evaluation, process optimization, root cause analysis, parameter setup and analysis, manufacturing equipment knowledge (Fronius, SKS, Trumpf, IPG, ABB, Desoutter, Apex, Deprag, Baltec, Tox, Kistler, Stoeger);

5.  Direct, open and empathic communication;

6.  Clear and direct decision making even under pressure;

7.  Able to adapt and/or to changing requirements by customer;

8.  Takes over responsibilities;

9.  Structured and precise working and organization style;

10. Willing to travel to plants and suppliers in Asia, EU and NAFTA (up to 2 or 3 weeks per month);

11. Managing of different tasks and interfaces at the same time;

12. Able to work in teams with different backgrounds and cultures;

13. Motivated to continuously learn and improve personnel and technical skills;

14. Fluent English both in writing and oral.
