Job purpose

This position is accountable for effective technology transfer, process design, process optimization, and process control, as well as operations support for new and existing facilities and processes.

Principal accountabilities

• Own site process capability window and identify risks for any new products as part of the industrialisation process.

• Responsible for site engineering accountabilities of industrialisation of new products and handover to production.

• Responsible for local requirements into URS for new assets and validating these are met in project delivery.

• Own local equipment specifications, liaising closely with Sector Process Engineering

• Support a cross functional team in the introduction, scale up, validation and post validation optimization of new product/technologies.

  • Responsible for facilitating safety assessments related to new product introduction

  • Responsible for training lead manufacturing owners

• Lead or support a cross functional team in the introduction and optimization of new processes/equipment related to the introduction of new technologies/product or internally driven operation’s objectives

• Lead the coordination of trials and the related data collection/analysis for the introduction of new product, new processes and new equipment

• Support development of new product via the NPI process

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency, profitability, and quality

• Support APQP    

• Support the manufacturing feasibility risk management and follow up actions by evaluating CAPEX, EHS, capacity/efficiency, production capability

• Maintain and update PFMEA

• Lead production system setup

Person specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering; or any equivalent relevant combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.
• Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis
• Strong mechanical, analytical, and technical skills
• 2+ years Production and / or Catalyst Manufacturing experience
• 1+ years batch process experience preferred
