BASIC PURPOSE:

  

• Being responsible for all technical aspects towards the Chinese automotive sensor customers.

• Go to person for all application and concept related topics

• Grow the number of viable projects with the customer

• In turn, support the growth of the customer in terms of revenue and profit

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES (End Results Expected):

• In collaboration with the account managers, the filed application engineer will be the major contributor in maintaining the technical relationship between customers and Bourns.

• The FAE will support the project PMs and account manangers and will take responsibility for technical aspects related to active projects with the customers

• The FAE will escalate in a timely manner when obvious that milestones or agreed actions are due or lacking

• The FAE will support the leads generation by supporting as application expert, growing the network at the Chinese automotive sensor customers and understanding the customer better in the dedicated application fields for sensing

• Plan, execute and follow up design reviews

• Be part of the customer core team

• Enable the right selection of programs vialbe for Bourns and the Chinese automotive sensor customers

• Support the plant in process and quality aspects; coordinate activities

• Lead regular technical reviews for competency exchange

• In addition role will support sales and R&D in the process of promoting Bourns Automotive  products via customer meetings, trade shows and technical days at local OEMs.

• The role is to provide technical support to the local Automotive team in the quotation process,development process ,warrant and quality stage. Position will have a local sales technical support responsibility for a particular automotive application category.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  

EDUCATION: 

  

• Bachelor’s degree or above major in Electronics or Electro-Mechanics or Industrial Engineering     

  

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS: 

  

• ？  Applications for sensing technologies; Hall, MR, Inductive
• ？  Mechanical engineering background , SW tools :AutoCAD,CATIA , UG , PROE and solid works .
• ？  More than 5 years’ experience with Automotive industry field as FAE and (or) RE
• ？  Experience in technical Sales and Automotive Market & Technology
• ？  Knowledgeable in different fields of manufacturing processes for sub system integration
• ？  Firm in 8D, PPAP, APQP and AEC-Q aspects
• ？  Experienced working in multi-cultural teams
• ？  Fluent in Chinese and English; self-motivated & communication skills
