Responsibilities:
The primary function of the Segment Manager is to expand and develop in the OEMs business from the current business level. Also he will require to penetrate into the end-user market (such as Fabs, foundries, display).
Strategic:
- To collaborate with global and regional semicon leader to implement the Semicon Growth strategy in China. To promote the semicon products and solutions to customers and potential prospects. To arrange material testing and get customer approval in key OEMs and end-users.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of applications and products for each of the semicon sub-process and equipments.
- Develop and executing a sales plan for the activities in semicon to include detailed sales, profit, cost and resource targets and specific strategies for selected customer.
- Assist in establishing strategic relationships with selected service, equipment and product suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain in collaboration with Purchasing.
- Identifies gaps in products and materials and works appropriatel with R & D, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to fill agreed upon gaps based upon business case approval.
- Operational:
- Support the local sales team on technical questions and concerns including the training of application and sales engineers on semicon applications from a technical and commercial perspective.
- Preparing suitable presentation material to promote Semicon business in China.
- Build up competitive and market intelligence to allow for strategic planning and when necessary tactical responses to the market. Working in collaboration with the Marketing Team to ensure alignment of industry trends.
- Establish and manage effective links with Product Managers, factories, Customer Solution Centers and Key Account Managers globally.
- Track project pipeline for the segment and establish a forecast of sales expectations and takes corrective actions in agreement with Marketing Companies to ensure pipeline is on track to meet sales expectations.
- Complete a monthly report on activity to also include sales pipeline and successful wins (which is the key element).
- Conduct direct sales to OEMs and end-user market.
- Identify and recommend suitable sales channel when necessary.
- Participate in budget setting for the segment and align with the company on segment growth intiatives.
- Work with Marketing Communications to establish branding and marketing campaigns and participate in industry associations and events.
- Support of global activities as requested
- Additional duties may be assigned by management
Responsible for full utilizing and keep update on the Customer Relationship Management portal. Receiving and updating the sales leads, opportunities and prospects. Make sure all customer information in the portal are update and correct.
Requirements:
10+ years management experience in engineering (or sales) in related field
University degree. (Engineering preferred)
Market experience within semicon will be an advantage.
Good knowledge in the semicon manufacturing process.
Strong Technical aptitude beneficial.
Must be able to read and understand technical prints
Strong knowledge of business sales and marketing practices in the region
Knowledge of plastics and elastomers would be an advantage
