Job Responsibilities:

1. Adheres to new product development processes as it relates to concept analysis, business case, product development, pre-production and post-launch steps; recommends methods of manufacture during the design of new products and design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studies

2. Applies advanced computer-aided software to design the mechanical parts for electrified products   

3. Conducts electrified products tests, such as battery packs or Motors or Consumer Electronics' performance, function and endurance tests. Use techniques to resolve customer concerns/problems; prepares technical reports based on results

4. Modifies analysis techniques when necessary to solve more complex problems

5. Evaluates product failures using standard/basic engineering techniques, such as mechanical design and manufacturing and electronic circuit analysis.

6. Compiles and analyzes test results; formulates conclusions and makes appropriate recommendations

7. Provides liaison support between the engineering department and the other parties might have concerns.

8. Supports supplier selection and interaction

9. Recommends improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operations, equipment utilization and related matters.

10. Contributes to the development of engineering test standards where applicable

11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Skills Requirements:

1. Comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, practices and procedures. Use the CAD (such as PTC Creo) and mechanic design handbook etc. tools to design components

2.  Knowledge of basic electronic circuit is a plus

3.  Understand new product development process is a plus

4.  Well-developed understanding of mechanical manufacturing process

5.  Engines, handheld tools, gardening products, genset, motors, battery packs product knowledge is a plus

6.  Well-developed written communication skills necessary for technical report writing

7.  English skill in reading and writing

Educational  & Experience Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related

2. At least 5-8 years working experience on product development, modification and verifications.

3. Working experience in engine, handheld tools, gardening products, genset, motor, battery pack is preferred.
