Job Summary：       

Oversee the implementation of sound and international best practices in both the Environmental Function and the Corporate Social Responsibility Function in the Asia Pacific Region.

        

Create, develop and manage Asia Pacific Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility Programs, Policies, and Procedures including keeping track of and updating of Environmental Legislations in the various Countries of operation.

        

Provide Environmental Development Training to the Regional Team and perform Regular Audits against Environmental Legislations, Environmental Management System around the ISO 14001 framework and Company’s Developed Policies and Programs.

        

Analyze, report, monitor and support the region on Environmental Compliance and provide practical and technical expertise, advice and solutions on issues related to Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility.

        

Promote Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility continuous improvement initiatives through Audits, Inspections and Analysis of Environmental Data.    

    

Perform Due Diligence for all Green and Brown Field Projects in ensuring compliance with Local Environmental Legislations and generate reports with action plans in accordance with internationally recognized standards.    

     

The Responsibilities:      

●       Develop, implement and manage the Company’s Environmental Management System, Corporate Social Responsibility and Energy Programs.    

●       Develop strategies, policies, programs and standard operating procedures to promote and comply with Environmental Legislation, Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives and Energy Programs.    

●       Review Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Preventive Maintenance Procedures, CAPEX Projects, and Product Ordering process in order to implement Environmental and Energy efficient best maintenance practices.    

●       Incorporate Environmental and Corporate Social Responsibility requirements, programs and initiatives into our Contractor Management Program.   

●       Develop and deliver Environmental, Corporate Social Responsibility and Energy training as and when required.   

●       Maintain up-to-date documents on all training, environmental monitoring reports, permits & licenses, and other data as required.    

●       Monitor, Analyze, Track, Update and Communicate Regulatory Requirements, Internal Protocols, Environmental Monitoring Reports, and Action Plans.    

●       Attend and Organize Meetings when required.    

●       Prepare and submit Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Environmental, Corporate Social Responsibility and Energy Report.    

●       Perform Audits and Inspections when required.    

●       Conduct Environmental Due Diligence when required.    

    

The Qualifications:        

●       Bachelor of Science Degree in Environment.    

●       Environmental Management System (e.g. ISO 14001).   

●       Energy Management System (e.g. ISO 50001).    

●       Environmental Impact & Aspect Studies (EIA) and Biodiversity (e.g. WDPA and IUCN) including but limited to Endangered Species Requirements    

●       Act4Nature International Commitments.    

●       Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).   

●       Occupational Health & Hygiene would be an added advantage.   

●       Knowledge of Asia Pacific Environmental Regulations and Red-on-Line (ROL).    

●       Specific knowledge on    

○       Waste Management Management   

○       Spill Management   

○       Storm Water & Wastewater Management    

○       Air Emission Management    

○       Hazardous & Toxic Substances Management    

○       Noise & Vibration Management    

○       Water & Energy Conservation Management    

●       Good communication skills in both verbal and written English.  Knowledge of other languages (e.g. Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese) would be an added advantage.    

●       5-10 years of relevant experience.    

●       Mining and Processing experience would be an added advantage.
