Responsibilities:

As key member of the R&D team, he/she will:

1. Participate in new product development (product definition, concept and prototype development, verification & validation, design transfer)

2. Design products to meet product requirements, product quality, cost and schedule. Can take a lead role for new module/sub-system development.

3. Work on mechanical design, verification, drawing release, and documentation for new product development.

4. Work with cross-functional team to ensure product design meets the requirement for manufacturing, cost, service, and regulation.

5. Provide documentation for CE, UL or other standard along with design.

6. Assist supply chain selection and production process (assembly and inspection) development.

Qualification:

1. Above M.S. degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering，Precision instrument，or related.

2. Minimal 5 years working experience in mechanical design and product development.

3. Medical device, Life Science, or Precision Instrument product development experience is preferred.

4. Hands-on experience and solid capability in:

a) Proficient in using 3D mechanical design software (Creo, Pro/E is preferred).

b) Excellent experience with mechanical motion and transmission system design and analysis.

c) Good knowledge of tolerance analysis, FEA simulation etc.

d) Excellent knowledge of mechanical system design and integration (component selection, trade-off analysis, knowledge and selection of sensor, motor, gear, guide, and belt etc.).

e) Experience in testing with capability in establishing test fixture.

f) Good knowledge of common surface treatment, material properties of popular metal, plastic, or other materials.

g) Experience with Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Cost.

h) Good knowledge of safety standard or regulatory process in product development.

5. Good problem-solving skill (root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.) and technical communication ability

6. Must be a good team player.

7. Global collaboration experience and good English communication ability (verbal and written).
