Title: Design Engineer

Location: QingPu, Shanghai

Reporting Relationship: Engineering Manager, IMI Critical Engineering Greater China

Focus and Challenges

Support the extensive Turbine Bypass valve portfolio in development, customer support, customer project releases, manufacturing support and prototype testing, to meet the customer requirements, industry standards and cost targets.

Main Responsibilities

ü Experienced engineer for control valves design and applications. Experience in turbine bypass valves preferred.

ü Design of valves and actuators according to customer project specification and applicable ASME industry standards

ü Complete preparation of final drawings and bill of materials for manufacturing release

ü Able to write technical reports such as root cause analysis, test procedures, buy-out specifications, operation and maintenance manuals and design standards

ü To localize new products from foreign technology centers, English language skills required.

ü Provide direct customer service support by conducting technical presentations and/or problem solving at customer facility and attend technical review meetings.

ü To draft up technical documents management regulations and supervise the implementation for standard documents management and processes

ü To solve technical issues in manfacturing process in time for ensuring production tasks completed smoothly.

Qualifications and Experience

ü Bachelor degree with major in Mechanical Engineering or related.

ü Minimum 8 years quarter-turn valve design experience.

ü Experience with ASME standards design calculations and processes.

ü Familiar with Microsoft Office software, Auto-CAD and Solidworks.

ü Able/Willingness to travel at least once per month (About one week each time )

ü Leadership ability, independent and result oriented.

ü Good command of English (listening, speaking, reading and writing), to communicate with local and foreign colleagues and customer.
