PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 
  Internal Communicate Effectively.  Effectively communicate related issues to applicable people.  Issues could be component problems, missed shipments, or schedule changes.  Clearly communicate responsibilities, expectations, and priorities to shipping personnel.  Interact with customers regarding shipments, schedule changes, shortages, or other topics to develop and maintain a good working relationship.


Develop Production Schedule.  Develop production schedule based on customer needs, material availability and capacity by communicating with Sales, Manufacturing and Supply Management.  Load the production schedule and monitor the planning time fence to stabilize the production schedule. Ensure that the production schedule sets clear priorities for machine shop and final operations.  Produce weekly status and backlog reports.  Identify potential material shortages and coordinate expedites with Supply Management.


Prioritize Daily Activities.  Able to work in a fast paced environment with limited resources and a sense of urgency.  Effectively prioritize and complete supply chain activities – processing shipments, scheduling, shipping, logistics.


Utilize Various Systems Effectively.  Strong understanding and utilization of the following systems:


  Baan - Material Requirements Planning; create, maintain, report, and delete production orders.  Create and maintain sales schedules, set up customers for EDI transactions.  Maintain finished good inventory accuracy. Process shipments and produce barcode labels and maintain Item Master. Create, track, and reschedule Shop Floor Control (SFC) orders using Baan ERP system  (Shipping)
Crystal Reports- Generate reports and organizes data using report writing applications and Excel. ((Shipping/receving)
            Excel - Create spreadsheets and update as needed.  ((Shipping/receving)


Internet / Customer Systems - Pull customer schedules and work customer systems as required (such as issue invoice, send ASN and confirm demand) (Shipping)


    5. Monitor Finished Goods Inventory.  Monitor finished goods inventory accuracy and audit production order  
    reporting.  Plan and implement finished goods inventory control initiatives. Maintain on time shipments to 
    Customers. (Shipping)
6. Strong Team Player and Contributor.  Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced
    and high pressure atmosphere. Combine strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution.  


ADDITIONAL DETAILS: 
        Receive Inventory. Provide timely receipt of all inbound goods to the company, assuring the highest levels of inventory accuracy and turnaround.  Support corporate inventory turns objectives through these activities.  Support evaluation and processing of manual material requisitions


Process Shipping Documentation.  Provide timely processing of all shipping documentation for the company, assuring the highest levels of record accuracy and customer satisfaction.  Support corporate delivery performance objectives through these activities.


     
  MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
   
  Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience. 


Prior experience in both Materials and production planning strongly preferred, with a minimum of three (2) years of experience in a production related capacity required.


Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other functional areas as follows: Operations, Quality, Warehouse and Material.  


Effective trouble shooting, problem solving and organizational skills.  Able to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict in an effective manner. 


APICS certification preferred.


Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.  Baan experience preferred.


Experience with Microsoft Office products.


Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.
