Our company is a Sourcing Agency for overseas distributors in the Kitchen Appliances industry. 

We are a Representative Office in Shanghai managed by Australians for our Australian parent company. 

Our business is expanding rapidly and we wish to employ a Product Engineer - Appliances to assist in new projects. 

Primary job duties of this role are Product Engineering & Product Approvals. 

Secondary duties are Shipment Inspections plus other related tasks. 

Personal Requirements: 

 

- Bachelor Degree or above in Electrical/Electronic or Mechnical Engineering; 

 

- 3-4 years work experience in specific product engineering in the Home Appliances industry, 

 

- Ability to demonstrate Engineering Projects personally worked on in Home Appliances involving 

 

o Understanding the Customer Need 

 

o How the Product in question actually works 

 

o How it is Made by Tooling 

 

o What Toolings are used 

 

o How Tooling used in inexpensive manner to deliver Quality Product according to Specification 

 

- High-level of English speaking / listening / writing (passing of CET6 or other English tests is not mandatory); 

 

- Must be dynamic, team-spirited, self-motivated, and a good communicator; 

 

- Role requires travel within China, primarily from Shanghai to North and South of China such Tianjin, Guangdong and other provinces at times. 

 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

 

- Undertake product engineering of large appliance products within the kitchen, bathroom and outdoor stuff industry for suitability for export to customers; 

 

- Obtain global product approvals standards such as CE, CB, UL, ETL, SAA, AGA and CSA etc. for developed product, working with domestic and overseas testing institutes/laboratories and overseas consultants. 

 

- Assist partner factories in development and trial production of new products; 

 

- Provide technical support to sales and marketing to enhance service to customers, and work very closely and collaboratively with the purchasing and inspection team on all product quality and other relevant issues; 

 

- Undertake shipment inspections of our products both on production line
