职位描述

Purpose of the position:

Develop opportunities & projects in China for unconventional hydrogen projects incl. green hydrogen
according to
business development strategy, process, best-practices and standards.


Main Responsibility:

Leadership & Employee Development:

  • Effectively lead to ensure cross-functional coordination and alignment across regions for large investment projects

Resource Management, Organisation & Capabilities:

  • Support Head of Business Development in insuring adherence of teams and processes to business development standards.

Opportunity Development, for projects in China:

  • Identify and collect information about new opportunities at early stage engaging customers, regional business unit, Apac/China H2 Mobility team, ILE (ITM/LE JV), Linde Engineering etc.
  • Develop project opportunities, customer and market assessment, proactive review (e.g. on synergies) and proposal for business concept/value proposition.
  • Develop project investment papers.

Project Development:

  • Engage customers for marketing and webinars (promoting Linde), solution development
  • Understand H2 value chain and develop early business partnership
  • Develop and select technical plant and supply concept (incl. utilities, feed gas, land) and commercial on-site concept as well as value chain design (incl. business case and collection of hydrogen sales plan from China/Apac H2 Mobility Group).
  • Develop proposals and align across functions
  • Carry out the project risk assessment and develop mitigation plan
  • Lead in negotiating the projects and conclude onsite and partnership contracts (MOU/LOI, joint venture etc)
  • Present business case to IC for investment approval


Required key skills (functional/technical)

  • Deep understanding of the industrial gases industry, competitive dynamics, customer negotiations and market conditions.
  • Expertise in business evaluation, business plan development and scenario/sensitivity analyses and translating strategic implications into clear guidance for customers engagement and project development.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional projects and programs across organisational boundaries.
  • Proven track records in managing relationship with top tier customers from industries incl. metal, chemicals and oil & gas, esp. refineries
  • Deep understanding of Linde technical solutions, plant portfolio and associated value propositions, e.g. ASU and/or H2/HyCO/CO2 plants/H2 liquefiers/Electrolysers, to be acquired

Required qualifications/experience

  • BE/B Tech degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
  • MBA or equivalent post graduate qualification from a Premier business school is a plus.
  • Experience in hydrogen projects is a plus
  • 7+ years professional experience in the industrial gas, chemical, oil & gas or engineering industry, and
  • 4+ years successful professional experience at Linde as Project Development Manager, or 7+ years professional experience outside Linde in equivalent position with commercial experiences, and
  • Successful experience in management of cross-functional project teams.
