SCOPE

The Supplier Marketing Specialist supports the supplier marketing managers and their activities for a specified group of suppliers in a manner which ensures total quality and effective customer service. This position will be responsible for assisting and expanding the business opportunities with these suppliers. This will drive market share which will lead to the successful execution of strategies and goals for Mouser and our suppliers. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

·         Researches and analyzes industry and competitive conditions, customer needs, and supplier needs. Works with suppliers to coordinate cooperative opportunities, advertising campaigns, and marketing content.

·         Must be comfortable in various settings, from analyzing data, to interacting confidently with senior management in discussing supplier strategies, and market/competitive strategies.

·         Contributes to supplier relationships and therefore provides product solutions/unique advantages to suppliers and customers so that Mouser is considered the preferred partner for suppliers and the preferred provider of products for customers.

·         Strives to align supplier marketing efforts with Mouser’s core purpose strategy, which will result in targeted return on investment objectives.

·         Discovers new product marketing opportunities that support new designs and advanced technologies through strategy meetings with Suppliers. Be creative to design activities to market the products/solutions.

·         Works with suppliers to obtain reimbursement for cooperative marketing programs and coordinates scheduling of supplier marketing activities.

·         Supports and participates in company total quality process. Represents the company in a professional manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Degree from four-year college or university in Electronics, Business Administration or Marketing, and 3-year+ work experience, or an approved combination of education and experience.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel (70%), PowerPoint, Word and Outlook) at the advanced level preferred.

·         Compiles, reviews and analyzes data to determine business opportunities. Ability to produce quality correspondence, spreadsheets, reports and presentations.

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills.

·         Interpretation of market conditions and future opportunities.

·         Excellent in oral and written English
