Key Responsibilities

After decades Teflon? has been discovered in our company and Teflon? Coatings are developed, we still find new applications and develop new products for the consumer and industrial market segments.

As an R&D Chemist, you will be:

• Possess knowledge of and follow all company safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible for developing new products and applications, particularly for further growth for industrial and consumer applications based on fluoropolymers and potentially other coating technology,
• Collaborating with your regional and global peers, the product manager, business development team and customers,
• Technically supporting the local production department by implementing new products or general manufacturing problem solving based on your chemical and product knowledge,
• Organizing work, for you and your team, taking into account the product requirements, business objectives, deadlines, regulatory landscape and other agreements and contracts,
• Lead routine customer complaint investigation in AP region through communicating closely with local or oversea plants, and local sales or technical service.
• Watch technology trend of the industry all the time and develop new technology for next generation coating to sustain our leadership position in the business.
• Leading and coaching a team of technicians,
• Developing a broad knowledge on coating formulations and fluoropolymer coatings,
• Presenting your results during meetings or seminars to your peers, customers and other stakeholders, within and outside the company,
• Travelling to customers, seminars and conferences, international meetings

Your profile

• Master or above preferred,

• a thorough knowledge of organic and polymer chemistry, and related analytical techniques,
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills,
• Fluent in English and Mandarin,
• Customer-oriented and communicative,
• Innovative, improvement- and result-oriented,
• Strong leadership skills (particularly project management),
• Analytical, flexible, autonomous and dynamic team player,
• Willingness to travel (10 to 30%).
• 5 years or above experience in technical related work, preferably in multi-functional company. experience in coating technology is a plus.
