PRIMARY DUTIES:

  

·         Primary duties of the employee include but are not limited to:

  

·         Monitor Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) system and work with suppliers on shipment details

  

·         Coordinate with forwarders, branches and suppliers for any transportation issues for L&P shipments.

  

·         Arrange LCL shipments. Monitor and calculate the freight cost via LCL service and L&P consol to find the cost effective way.

  

·         Assist with branches on rate requests.

  

·         Work with shipper association to ensure their demands covered.

  

·         Look for the opportunities to develop new LPSA members.

  

·         Create and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders and other service providers as well as local L&P branches and suppliers

  

·         Develop the competitive service providers of domestic transportation and implement a strategic domestic China transportation network

  

·         Quote with domestic transportation service providers.

  

·         Maintain the domestic transportation contract between the L&P and service providers.

  

·         Maintain the domestic quotation constantly.

  

·         Receive the SLI of the shipper/consignee and tender to service providers

  

·         Manage all domestic China freight movements via road, rail and barge

  

·         Coordinate with forwarder and suppliers for any transportation issues

  

·         Gather data on shipper/consignee and service provider issues and report back to appropriate L&P personnel

  

·         Collect the related docs.

  

·         Manage approve the invoice and charge to shipper/consignee.

  

·         Assist service providers and shipper/consignee on any claims in over, short and damaged  matters if needed

  

·         Maintain the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) report of suppliers/service providers/carriers

  

·         Create and maintain strong relationships with service providers as well as local L&P branches and suppliers

  

·         Improve supply chain service performance by meeting planned goals and targets

  

·         Other logistics and Administration work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  

  

·         Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  

·         Minimum two years’ experience in international and domestic China supply chain/transportation/logistics/warehouse management

  

·         Familiar with the market of international transportation and have good resource of this industry

  

·         Verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English

  

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook

  

·         Mathematical aptitude

  

·         Detail oriented

  

·         Organizational skills

  

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects

  

·         Creative and analytical thinker

  

·         Knowledge of principles and processes required for moving goods via ocean, air, rail, and road including relative costs and benefits

  

·         Understanding of container freight station (CFS) operations such as consolidation, deconsolidation and distribution

  

·         Customer service experience

  

·         Flexibility to work weekends if needed
