This is a Supplier Quality Engineer role reporting to the Quality Manager in the Business – Motion, located in Shanghai, China.

- Being responsible for supplier quality control, performance maintenance and quality problem resolution and report.
- Conducting potential supplier audit and process control plan audit. Ensuring the supplier understand supplier quality assurance requirements and comply with them.
- Coordinating with cross functional team, monitoring and supporting supplier’s implementation of advanced product quality planning process.
- Monitoring supplier realization of improvement plans resulting from the assessment/reviews through follow-up measures.
- Monitoring quality and delivery performance of suppliers to identify elevated risks and drive correction before impact to production.
- Cooperating with other departments for quality improvement and new project lunch, seeking opportunities for continuous improvement through the application of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Carrying out business EHS relevant responsibility proactively and compliance with regulations, communicating and enforcing safety procedures, identifying and closure of safety issues and corrective actions in suppliers.
- Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

- Bachelor’s degree (or above), science and engineering background, major in electrical engineering and automation, Mechanical.
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in supplier quality especially familiar with casting, machining, painting, process.
- Must have knowledge of quality tools (IATF16949 Five tools) and other quality management skills.
- Should have a strong sense of responsibility and rigorous work style, good communication skills; be able to travel for 50% working time.
- CET-6 or above, good at listening, oral, reading and writing.
