VON ARDENNE needs a capable, motivated Engineer for Electrical Design Engineer to carry out the tasks assigned by the Electrical Engineering department at VON ARDENNE headquarter, including design, engineering documentation, estimating and improvement. The successful candidates of this position will report directly to the Head of Operation at VON ARDENNE Vacuum Equipment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and will collaborate with the Design, Purchasing and Assembly/Installation/Commissioning teams on all electrical application projects.

YOUR TASKS  

• Generating and modifying electrical design drawings with E-CAD software E3. series or EPLAN, supported by the electrical engineers at the VON ARDENNE headquarters;

• Electrical layout and planning according to Customer change request;

• Supplier development of electrical components, cabinets, devices;

• Support on Pre-assembly and electrical commissioning at the customer’s site;

• PLC software modification and commission at customer’s site; PC software commissioning;

• Modification of machine controls and SCADA software applications using various tools (STEP 7, TIA, WinCC, InTouch);

• Providing customers training on correct handling of PLC and HMI;

• Implementation of software, performing I/O checks, safety interlock verification, software revision after commissioning;

• Trouble shooting and customer support by means of PLC data including remote services.

YOUR PROFILE 

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics or related field;  Master is a plus.

• More than 10 years working experience in machinary industry.

• Experience in electrical design, e.g. with E-CAD tools like E3. series or EPLAN;

• Experience in PLC/HMI handling

• Basic knowledge in IEC standards and CCC requirements;

• Profound understanding of the interactions between mechanical, electrical and technological components;

• Must have the ability to work independently in a reliable, well-structured and solution-oriented manner;

• Very good command of spoken and written English and Chinese is mandatory for this position; speaking German is a plus;

• Excellent communication skills and outstanding team spirit.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills;

• Ability to work and communicate with foreign nationals;

• High ability to adapt adequately to local and foreign behavior;

• Being interested in self-guided learning;

• Establishing and maintaining an excellent corporate image of VON ARDENNE;

• Ability to travel and attend trainings overseas.
