职位描述
This role is multi-disciplinary role with a blend of Sensory Science and Stability Science. The primary responsibilities of the PGI Scientist is to be a subject matter expert in Sensory Science and Stability Science, in support of Research and Development and Quality Control. This includes accountabilities for consumer testing and sensory methodology to ensure products meet consumer needs and expectations, and shelf-life testing to design stability and quality into the lifecycle of our products and to ensure a broad understanding of the factors that affect quality over time and under various conditions. In this role, the PGI Scientist will partner with a variety of cross-functional team members to advance their work and support the business.
Responsibilities:
1.Influence and lead as the sensory science and stability subject matter expert on the cross functional business team.
2.Lead projects through appropriate consumer and sensory learning plans.
3.Independently consult, design, and manage the appropriate product stability studies to meet business needs and enhance product foundational knowledge.
4.Interpret test results and synthesize into insights based on the business risk, consumer and sensory learning, and quality criteria.
5.Communicate key findings and recommendations in a relevant and easy to understand manner and guide business teams to next steps in the product development process.
6.Champion the consumer product voice on the business team.
7. Facilitate consumer interactions to grow consumer empathy.
8.Collaborate with global team members to leverage capabilities and expertise that do are not available locally.
9.Train cross-functional partners on stability and sensory best practices.
10.Ensure all regional sensory quality programs support plant and business objectives.
11.Maintain Sensory Quality Assurance standards
12.Develop, train, and maintain calibrated sensory panels .
13.Provide quality and product reviews to support key business priorities and advance the cross-functional teams product knowledge.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor of Science minimum, Master of Science preferred in Food Science, Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, or Food Science and Industry.
2.Competence in independently planning and executing research plans. Preferred experience in planning and executing sensory and/or consumer research.
