职位描述

Reports to: CEO (eventually VP of Operations for Greater China)

Job grade: Ops-3

Manages (people): Operations managers and team members at Planet O locations in Shanghai


Synopsis: The Director of Operations is the public face of Planet O for team members, players and the wider community – a professional demeanor should be displayed at all times. He/she manages all aspects of ongoing location-based operations, with a relentless drive for quality, service, and cleanliness. Each Planet O location is a profit center, and the Director of Operations is accountable for the achievement of business targets.


Deliverables/Metrics: (specific targets to be agreed with senior management)

· Planet O location-based revenue (gaming and F&B)

· Operating Profit [specifically, Earnings Before Tax and Interest]

· Team member hiring, training, and retention

· Maintain all games, equipment, and technology

· Excellent service levels in all areas of the business

· Cleanliness throughout the venues

· Loss prevention


Responsibilities:

1. General

· Lead by example in all areas of operations to build and foster a strong team dynamic.

· Always represent Planet O in the proper manner when dealing with players (our customers) and the community at-large.

· Delegate tasks to appropriate associates, and follow-up for correct and on-time completion.

· Foster open communication with and among team members.

· Identify opportunities for quality/service improvements, cost savings, other operational enhancements.

· Follow all safety policies to ensure a safe work area.

· As a member of the Planet O senior management team, support company initiatives beyond the call of daily duty.

2. Player Experience

· Retain Planet O high quality standards and ensure all players and their guests have the best experience possible.

· Always maintain excellent player service standards.

· Resolve any player issues effectively and discreetly.

· Have complete knowledge of all game/attraction play, how each functions (both hardware and software), and have an understanding of preventative maintenance procedures.

· Be able to fully operate and understand the Arcade Management System (AMS) – from both the player and team member side. · Monitor cleanliness and sanitation at all times, and work with all team members to ensure proper safety procedures.

· Oversee all F&B operations, from both a player service and kitchen management perspective.

· Build strong relationships with our corporate clients, and maintain high rate of return business.

3. Financial

· Monitor all costs and other operational expenses and help ensure the financial success of each location.

· Keep constant watch on restaurant property to prevent loss and shrinkage.

· Complete an accurate monthly inventory count.

· Ensure accurate daily closing, and cash management.

· Analyze actual performance vs. targets, develop improvement suggestions and discuss with company leadership.

4. Our Team Members

· Use a positive management style to inspire all our team members to reach their full potential. Cultivate a friendly and caring work environment and strong company culture.

· Approve the hiring of all junior management team members and supervisors.

· Ensure that team members follow all company rules and regulations at all times. Respond in an appropriate and measured way to all infractions.

· Manage the labor cost for each location. Check all work schedules and give final approval before they are issued to team members.

· Monitor new hire training programs and sign off at the end of the probationary period.

· Continually provide on-the-job training and coaching to every level of team member.

Skill Requirements:

a. Technical skills

· Minimum 10 years of hospitality and/or retail service experience, at least 5 years in a management position.

· Organization skills, including prioritizing of workload and task delegation.

· Understanding of sanitation and cleanliness standards; food safety training and certification is a plus.

· Inventory management: ordering, receiving, tracking.

· Understanding of customer satisfaction drivers.

· Team leadership: track record in managing team performance; employee assessment, and people development.

· Native (or fully fluent) Mandarin Chinese with a strong command of English (both spoken and written)

b. Personal skills

· Outgoing and optimistic personality, ability to build relationships with team members, customers, government officials, and other stakeholders

· Hard-working, not quitting until the job is done.

· Passion for quality and customer service – take pride in doing excellent work.

· Honesty and integrity.


Note: Planet O is open for business seven days a week and a minimum of 12 hours per day. All team members must understand this, and be aware that it may be necessary to move people from their scheduled shift as business demands. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitality service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
