General Description

 

USGBC/GBCI represents the pioneer of the Green Building Review and Certification organizaiton. The Manager works to ensure a vision of developing green building leaders, growing markets and measuring mission impact. The Manager will ensure the continued national market growth of the USGBC community, facilitate meaningful and effective market engagement, and develop and deliver best-in-class education and partnership opportunities toward meaningful market transformation. This position is highly focused on identifying and nurturing the growth of members and local accounts, while simultaneously supporting and growing relationships with existing partners, members, event sponsors, volunteers, and allied organizations. Working with the Managing Director, the Manager participates in the strategic development of the USGBC local community.

 

 

Specific Responsibilities

 

·        Manage designated membership accounts assigned by Senior Manager for market development

·        Track and manage member information.

·        Provide support to members/national accounts via telephone and email.

·        Cultivate and maintain relationships with corporate and community organizations for the purposes of enhancing local offerings.

·        Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends to ensure proper engagement with local members and accounts.

·        Respond to inquiries related to local market activities.

·        Support Senior Manager to expand market size in Greater China, especially north-east regions.

 

 

Travel Requirements

 

·        This position will require regular local travel to cities within Mainland China. 

 

 

Metrics for Success

 

·        Establish and analyze the data base of current account, service provider and partner

·        Cooperate with technical and marketing department to define the marketing material such as presentation, proposal

 

 

Education & Training Requirements/Preferences

 

·        Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Engineering is required

·        LEED Green Associate is a must

·        LEED AP preferred

 

 

Experience Requirements

 

·        5+ years of experience in community outreach or public relations.

·        Preferred familiarity with the LEED system.

·        Preferred experience with development and/or grant writing.

·        Solid background experience in business development and sales & marketing will be a plus

-       Concrete sales experience is preferred

·        Experience with membership tracking software

·        Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekends
