Job Title: AP Material Program Lead Business

Rport to: Materials Manager, Asia Pacific

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

? Leads overall materials planning strategy development, deployment and related performance in alignment with one, or multiple business units.

? Collaborates with manufacturing plants, business units and other supply chain functions, deploying materials planning strategies, as well as, leading key process improvement projects across areas of inventory planning, customer service, supply network planning and master production scheduling. Key focus areas include, but are not limited to: analyzes, plans and implements process improvement needs;

? Evaluates and models existing processes; Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional projects;

? Develops metrics that provide data for process management and indicators for future improvement opportunities;

? Collects data to identify root cause problems; Measures performance against process requirements, aligning improvement projects to close performance shortfalls;

? Identifies and manages resources, including cross-functional members, to successfully execute projects;

? Deploys plans from conception through to close; Delivers presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.

? Leverages APICS theory and lean toolset to drive world class solutions.

? GAINS MEIO Safety Stock/Supply Planning Network Strategist.

Key Responsibilities:

? Weekly/Monthly Inventory and service review with AP demand planning, DMI, MPS and country LG/CC teams

? Work with global planners to drive E&O management and inventory rebalance initiatives

? Work with AP demand planner on BU/Customer strategic stock program

? Lead or participate in 1P1P process improvement projects from AP customer facing perspective

? Lead or participate Materials related regional and global projects, in collaboration with AP Project management team, global materials team and Global Materials Process Optimization team

? Drive planning parameter strategy update (stock/non stock, lot size) for AP DC, quarterly and ad hoc

? Global Network Strategist Role description

• Lead the Global MEIO Process and Configuration to ensure optimal interdependent alignment of Capital to Customer Service Level strategies

1. Connect Strategic OES Objectives to systematic Global Inventory Optimization solutions with dynamic constraints.
2. Educate and drive the change management of MEIO philosophy
3. Initialize and maintain the Global Technical Setup of MEIO
4. Lead the MEIO Monthly SS Review Process to drive MEIO sustainability

1. Review Fiscal Year Fill Rate Targets by Region

• Fill Rate Aggregate Targets are the first main Constraint in Service Level Optimization

1. Define additional constraints based on Qualitative Supply and Demand Drivers

• Strategic Growth Products, Customer Contractual Agreements, Supply Risk Variation Substitution Profile

Educate and Drive MEIO Philosophy

1. Develop and maintain MEIO Training Documentation

• MEIO Monthly Operating Rhythm
• MEIO Concepts( Inventory Optimization University)
• GAINS Navigation and Workflow Review for Users

1. Drive Cross-functional Communication and Collaboration of MEIO

• Provide continual education and awareness across OES to enhance process change

Initialize Global MEIO Technical Setup

1. Define and Implement Supply Chain Constraints into the Monthly Service Level Simulation
2. Coordinate and Gate-check MEIO Monthly Runs with GAINS

• SC Validity Checks and Global Notification of System Readiness

1. Collaborate with SCDW/SAP Technical Ownership (MEIO Data Source) to ensure timely updates of GAINS MEIO.
2. Own RA Configuration Settings and Scenario Based Modeling
3. Control Account Setup and Maintenance of RA Users in MEIO

• Lead Monthly MEIO SS Review

1. Lead MEIO Monthly Review Process for assigned Global Service Level Planners

• Review SS Change Exception Requests

1. Ensure that SS Reviews are adhering to MEIO principle of Interdependence and aligned to Strategic Service Level targets.
2. Verify all Global Service Level Planners have performed Monthly SS Uploads

• Provide Notification to GAINS of readiness for next Service Level Simulation and MEIO Monthly run.

Minimum Qualifications

? Travel, up to 20%, including the possibility of international travel. This position requires limited travel to other Rockwell Automation locations to support the assigned business unit segment(s).

? Teleconferences, or other meeting requirements, outside of normal work hours, as necessary.

? Mentoring of manufacturing facility or other team members.

? Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other employees.

? Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Research, or Operations Management.

? A minimum of six years of experience in supply chain, with a focus in areas such as materials management, inventory planning strategies, production & master production scheduling.

? Working knowledge of ERP systems is essential, preferably SAP.

? Proven project management experience in a complex manufacturing and supply chain environment.

? Demonstrated experience and results in driving process improvement and change across a global organization

? Strong skills in excel, MS access and problem solving/root causes analysis tools like DMAIC. Six Sigma green/belt certification preferred.

? Proven leadership and change management skills to drive improvements.

? Ability to communicate with people in different functions, country or culture, and to establish good and productive working relationships.

? Proficiency in English is a must.

Desired Characteristics:

? Master’s Degree or MBA.

? APICS Certification.

? Six Sigma Green or Black Belt.

? Supply chain Modeling / Optimization Skills.

? Strong team leader/contributor, comfortable in leading cross functional and multi-cultural teams

? Proficient in dealing with language and cultural barriers
