WORK DESCRIPTION

The Sales and Application Engineer makes the budgetary- and firm quotation to our customer in the bidding phase. He/She has a dialogue with the customer to develop a concept which attracts the customer technically and commercially. The application engineer also asks suppliers for quote and is commercially active to find cost effective solutions.

 

MAIN TASKS  

• Execute application engineering and bidding process in accordance with CPS procedures, project model, etc.

• Establish customer relations.

• Ensure adherence to CPS standard work procedures e.g. project model, risk mgmt, Q-guidelines.

• Prioritize usage of modular architecture.

• Actively contribute to Design to Cost.

• Improve business based on “lessons learned” together with project team.

• Provide the engineering support to project execution team if required.

  

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Transfer of knowledge to the Project Manager and project team, at contract review (G3).

• Actively question costs to reach correct budget.

• Ensure latest information from customer sales organization is available and spread in organization.

• Building relationship with customers

 

AUTHORIZATION  

• Sending budget quotes after review by regional head

• Sending firm quotes according to authorization matrix and after approval by regional head

  

ABILITIES  

• High knowledge and experience about filtration principles

• Good English skills oral and in writing

• Knowledge about industry with demanding requirement such as Rotating machinery (GT, Compressor, Diesel, etc.)

• Good technical knowledge of technical solution support

• Good ability to express technical information in speech and writing.

• B.Sc in Mechanical engineering or equivalent technical experience.
