Merchandiser for Production team

Key responsibilities

Active Brands Shanghai Office is currently expanding at a rapid pace and we are therefore looking for a Merchandiser to join our Production team. The position requires the individual to supervise everyday activities and make sure that production processes are running efficiently. The main responsibilities will include ensuring products are delivered in exact quantity, correct color and within deadline. As merchandiser you will be responsible for gathering and communicating relevant information related to fabric suppliers, trim suppliers and garment vendors.  You will work closely with your team and you will report to a Team leader and a Production Manager.

Desired skills and expertise:

• At least 4-5 years’ experience working as a Senior Merchandiser/Merchandiser.
• Textile/garment educational background or experience
• Previous experience working in the sportswear industry will be considered an advantage
• Ability to work both independently as well as a part of a team
• Good knowledge of factory processes, circular knitted fabrics as well as of the workmanship of the garments.
• Knowledge regarding the different testing methods is considered a plus.
• Previous experience from working in factory environment is considered advantageous as frequent trips to factories primarily in Shanghai and neighboring provinces are necessary.
• Great oral and written English skills.
• Age: 26+
