Role and Responsibilities

Junior Business Development Manager Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the definition of China Adjuvants Strategy
• Identify products and services
• Conduct market research on customers, machinery producers, farmers and competitors
• Support the definition of Sales Channels to achieve rapid growth
•  Implement China Adjuvant Strategy
• Budgeting and Planning
• Manage current customers, identify and acquire new customers
• Create pricing, promotional material and distribution channels
• Promote products and services via networking, specialized press and tradeshows.
• Negotiating sales contracts
• Build brand loyalty
• Travel to field often to understand farmer/applicator challenge and expectations
• Provide directly or with support of colleagues agronomic/application expertise

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Degree in Agriculture ideally

Fluent English communication spoken and written

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite and social network platforms

Curious mind and proactive attitude

Interest in complex data analysis

Strong communicator

Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

Self-motivated and eager to expand competences and grow

Creative problem solver

High ethical standards

Three to five years of previous experience in sales, management, consultancy or agriculture is a plus

Preferred Skills

Entrepreneurial, practical mindset, marketing or business background

Additional Notes

Agronomic background is also desired but not a requirement. Could substitute ag experience for lack for ag degree.
