DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Take lead of hotel projects compliance matters, including negotiation with business partners, preparation, negotiation, implementation, renewal and translation of related contracts, and lead dispute resolution matters

2. Take charge of risk control and other compliance issues in relation to hotel operation, including emergency handling, legal compliance and group company standards compliance matters

3. Assist with foreign investment and financing matters of the company

4. Draft legal documents

5. Answer legal inquiries from other departments and provide legal advice

6. Deal with hotel operation related mediation, arbitration and litigation

7. Assist with improvement of the working systems and the standard operation procedure of the legal department; develop standardized document templates

JOB SPECIFICATION

1. Sound understanding of, and experience in business/ contract law in ( and HK BAR considered a plus)

2. Experienced in corporate law, contract law, franchise law, intellectual property and trademark law, labor law, litigation, arbitration, and contractual disputes.

3. High degree of integrity in personal and professional life

4. Passion for excellence and encompasses an entrepreneurial spirit and drive

5. Strong sense of personal responsibility and ownership

6. Successful contract negotiation track record

7. Interpersonal intelligence, maturity and authority to guide and influence individuals at all levels (i.e. peers, juniors, seniors, property owners)

8. Possesses a positive attitude with high levels of personal energy and an appetite for work and success; tangible self-motivation and initiative

10+ years in-house counsel and law firm experience
