Product Engineer (PE)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

- Support the development of Product Line strategies with Subs

- Develop the quality plan for new RFP

- Develop test protocol for new projects

- Audit the lab capability of new suppliers

- Schedule internal and external lab for planned validation tests

- Debug, analyze and report failures that occur during the tests

- Analyze test data to decide product performance variance of samples from different vendors

- Interface as needed across all areas and organizations within GPC to ensure feasibility & consensus.

The Successful Candidate will have:

- Demonstrated success in automotive product testing, project engineering and program management.

- Utilize extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in multiple complex projects.

- Strong problem solving and debugging skills with a solid understanding of core product validation principles, and analytical techniques

- Awareness of ISO/IEC 17025:2005

- Awareness of IATF 16949 and APQP process

- B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

- 5+ years of related work experience a must
