POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports and assists in the design, implementation and execution of the trade compliance function for the respective Panduit Theater. This is a local role in the theatre.

Responsibilities:

Import & Export Compliance Operations.

• Support operations by providing oversight and resolution of technical compliance issues which impact the clearance or movement of goods.

• Conducts day-to-day trade activities, ensuring international shipments are compliant. This includes: shipping documentation, export license determination, classification, valuation and Incoterms.

• Supports Special Economic Zone (Free Trade Zones, Bonded Warehouses, or IMMEX) maintenance and reporting requirements (as applicable).

Contact for local customs agencies and service providers (including carriers, forwarders and/or customs brokers).

• Prepares responses to customs request and notices.

• Coordinates release of shipments with brokers, carriers, customs and any other government agencies

Supports the Center of Excellence concept.

• Contributes reports on trade and customs functions.

• Identifies and relays areas of Risk, Opportunity and Responsibility.

• Works with both internal and external partners to measure and define trade compliance process and drive improvements.

• Reports time and/or cost savings opportunities through initiatives or cost avoidance from current Special Economic Zone functions (IMMEX, FTZ, Bonded Warehouse).

• Assist Trade Compliance in administering an effective import and export compliance program to ensure company compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain; Operations Management; Business or related field.

• 1 - 5 years of applicable experience, including Trade & Customs compliance and Supply Chain

• MS Office Proficiency and Advanced Excel (Macros, Complex Formulas, Pivot Charts, Access Database Management, etc.)

• Advanced Data query / Business Objects capability

• Intermediate Supply Chain knowledge - Purchasing, Planning, Inventory, Logistics, and/or Warehousing.

• Ability to work under pressure

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Strong critical thinking skills and proven ability to work through complex issues and problems

• Proven track record of results in a fast-changing environment – execution oriented
