UI/UX Designer

As an UI/UX Designer at OnTheList, you will be an important member of the IT team, working closely together. You will participate to the design of the applications that are under current development in our Shanghai office.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Focus on designing to meet product needs.

2. Engages with other team members early on to seek a deeper appreciation of the end users' needs/problems.

3. Develops understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data). Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios.

4. Prepares low fidelity prototypes of sites/features (ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and brainstorming.

5. Capable of gauging technical feasibility of the prototype.

6. Presents high fidelity designs/mock-ups for review/iteration/approval.

7. Capable of working in an iterative/agile manner to dramatically improve the prototypes in a short time.

8. Able to explain his/her design philosophy verbally and in writing.

Job Requirements:

1. Formal education in interaction design (Bachelor's/Master's).

2. Above 3 years formal industry/professional experience as a web/mobile designer.

3. Fluent in English.

4. Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills. Capable of juggling multiple projects and related complexities at the same time.

5. Design Tools: Mastery of Adobe CC, Sketch App, Axure, Flinto.

6. Strong written and verbal communication with solid presentation skills are a must.

7. Conceptual understanding of User Interface Design and the Design Process.

8. Solid portfolio demonstrating design savvy.

9. Good eye for aesthetics: layout, grid systems, color theory and typography.

10. Understanding of the limitations of web and mobile, with approaches/ideas to flex those boundaries.

11. Candidate must absolutely be in sync with recent design standards and trends.

12. Video editing and other multimedia skills is a plus.

13. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, business analyst experience is a plus.

14. Front-end Technologies: In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, and JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap or any other UI framework or plugin knowledge is a big plus.
