KEY FUNCTION
The Merchandisers are the leaders and key contacts for the local follow up of the production phases after order confirmation. They meet the Collection needs locally by ensuring on time delivery of the required products.
In the collaborative organization, they are co-leaders of the self-organized cell. Are responsible to reach and exceed the cell objectives defined by the leadership team by developing efficiency and competitiveness of the cell. They coordinate with other team members to deliver the best product with the best quality at the best price. As team players, they share best practices within and across cells and business partners.
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
- Filter with “Kiabi Eyes” and follow product development phase with vendors by managing directly with collection and other decision makers (QA fitting, lab dip = colorist, fabric…) to get approvals after Order Confirmation
- Receive, send and store samples
- Maintain the Time and Action Calendar through system
- Support Senior Merchandisers in buying trips execution with Collection (trip organization, showrooms preparations)
- Follow the production and monitor capacity booking with vendors and technical services
- Key contact with Collection team to find the solution in case of issue: delays, commercial decisions needed, too many rejections, order shortage…
- Lead claim management with the rest of the members of the cell
- Set and meet target for supplier performance and implement the corrective action plan to improve the Date of Delivery performance
- Distribute and implement the new norms and procedures to vendors and ensure the training
- Develop and populate fair business behavior keeping in mind social compliance and environmental as a priority
- Be responsible for defining, getting the validation and respecting the travel expenses budget
- Contribute and be actor in company projects to develop efficiency and support changes of the organization
- Including but not limited to the previous responsibilities, the company can also require the Merchandiser to carry out other duties (tasks, projects, temporary missions, etc.) that may be assigned by the Leadership on specific matters
EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Relevant experience to the position (reference 2-6 years)
- Relevant technical knowledge for the position
- Fluent in English and local language, oral and written
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- Higher Diploma in Textile / University graduate
