Position Title: Lead Fatigue and Fracture Engineer

Reports to: Department manager or General Manager

Key responsibilities include:

· Coordinating fatigue and fracture lab testing activities. · Conducting axial fatigue, fatigue crack growth rate, fracture toughness, and R-curve testing.

· Writing test reports in English and Chinese . · Writing and/or reviewing internal testing procedures.

· Maintaining equipment operation manuals and calibration records.

· Designing test fixtures as needed. · Developing and maintaining good relationships with customers. · Conducting fatigue and fracture equipment maintenance. · Ordering fatigue and fracture lab supplies. · Following stringent quality procedures such as Nadcap.

· Providing leadership in the fatigue and fracture department.

· Training technicians as needed.

· Possibly being involved with initial test equipment installation.

Qualifications:

Education:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering
  disciplines

Experience:

• Minimum 6 – 10 years laboratory experience in the key responsibilities above.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications, and Licenses:

· Ability to understand and follow specifications such as ASTM and ASM.
· Good report writing skill both in Chinese and English.
· Good command of English in writing, verbal and reading.
· Good command of computer skills (Microsoft Office).
· Familiarity with lean and 5S activities.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift 25 pounds.
