The objective of this incumbent is to inspire students to express themselves in an artistic manner in the classroom, their outputs and in the context of life in general. The incumbent is expected to help students broaden their horizon of artist’s field of art in general and to motivate them in these aspects.

Job Responsibilities:

l To enhance the outdoor and indoor school environments including the neglected area of space at ECE, PRI and SEC campuses through the creation of artwork and other imaginative endeavors;

l To enable the environment to act as a third teacher – through clever, innovative and imaginative use of space and place of art;

l To teach students during extra-curricular activities and collaborate the artwork with them;

l To inspire the students to create their own artwork by sharing personal artwork, unique ideas, media, techniques and inspirations, enabling them to observe the process of a working artist;

l To participate in after-school art activities and as well as the arts activities in the communities;

l To initiate artwork and develop large art project appropriate to the curriculum;

l To work with the teacher to encourage awareness of design and artistic principles;

l To provide service to the Schools in marketing and promotion works;

l To deliver classroom teaching assignments as arranged by the Principals in some situations;

l To travel to different YCIS campuses for some projects when required.

Job Requirements:

l Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts or related disciplines;

l Proven as an active and practicing artist in respective art form and of professional standing;

l Experiences of working with schools is essential;

l Ability to initiate, plan and deliver the art projects;

l Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese;

l Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
